Let your ceiling fall in tonight with a beer and The Bonnevilles
We are heading back to the United Kingdom for today’s #TrackOfTheDay – Northern Ireland to be precise. We have the pleasure of saying our ears are ringing from playing today’s track on repeat for the last hour. Say hello to The Bonnevilles and their latest album Arrow Pierce My Heart. We have chosen the album’s second track My Dark Heart, and uh… yeah it’s dark – as is the album as a whole. When has dark blues ever been a problem?
So what can I tell you about The Bonnevilles? Well they are a self styled Garage Punk Blues duo, which doesn’t make an awful lot of sense until you listen to them, at which point the pieces of the puzzle fit. Formed in 2009, the band consists of Andrew McGibbon Jr on vocals on guitar and Chris McMullan on drums – what more do you need? At this point hundreds of blues five-pieces across the globe are suddenly fracturing down the middle.
The track certainly fits the Garage Punk Blues duo, with McGibbon yelling “My Dark Heart’s got me arguing with myself in my head … I can’t trust it any more” over the top of distorted guitars. You can quickly understand where the niche genre description is coming from.
The boys will be playing a London Album Launch at The Shakewell Arms on the 20th of April, we strongly recommend you get yourself down there. Let us know below what you think of My Dark Heart and Arrow Pierce My Heart, we will review the album for you as soon as possible. Tune in tomorrow for another #TrackOfTheDay.

The Bonnevilles - My Dark Heart
I think its fair to say we have a soft spot for this track and cant wait to catch The Bonnevilles in London next week. Whether we are buying into the whole Garage Punk Blues scene however, remains to be seen.
